It seems like just yesterday I was saying I'd update when and if any Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band tour information was released. Well, guess what? It's happened. Springsteen tickets for several shows go on sale in coming days and weeks, and stops are planned in 16 different U.S. cities.
Boss fans, listen up: The first leg of the 'Wrecking Ball' world tour, to support the new album (which drops on March 6), starts in mid-March. If you haven't ever seen Springsteen live, now is the time to do it!The Bruce Springsteen 'Wrecking Ball' tour will kick off in Atlanta, Georgia, on March 18. Tickets for the show, at Phillips Arena, go on sale on February 4. Other cities included in this leg are Greensboro, North Carolina, Tampa, Florida, Boston, Massachusetts, and Washington DC. Each of these cities will get just one show. In addition, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band are also playing New Orleans' Jazz Fest on April 29.
Multiple shows are set for Philadelphia (Wells Fargo Center), East Rutherford (Izod Center) and New York City (Madison Square Garden). Full information, including exact dates, locations and ticket purchasing information, is available on Bruce Springsteen's official website.
The time is now to plan. If you live within driving distance of any cities on Bruce's new tour, and you're a fan, go. Seeing Springsteen live is seeing a master at work.
Springsteen shows are long, detailed and chock full of incredible music. Bruce always mixes up the set lists, so if you go to two shows back-to-back, the chances are, you'll hear a lot of different songs.
If you're up for it, I highly recommend going for "GA" tickets. The general admission "pit" area is right in front of the stage. Yes, you're packed in like sardines, but it is an incredibly intimate way to see Bruce. Keep in mind, however, that you'll be standing for long stretches, so wear comfy shoes and try to sit a bit before the show starts. Usually people are let into the "pit" a couple of hours before show time. Get to know your neighbors - they'll save your spot if/when you have to make a restroom run (again, we're talking about a three-hour show people).
Hopefully everyone will take advantage of the chance to see Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band live. See you on tour!
