I've never been to Rock on the Range, but I've always wanted to go. This year might be the year. The lineup for the 2012 music festival is out, and it looks really solid. Some huge new bands and some veteran rock performers will hit the stage over three days in May in Columbus, Ohio.
If you're a rock fan, you'd do well to take a closer look at Rock on the Range's 2012 lineup. Good stuff. More than 40 bands are included, so the chances are you'll be able to catch sets from several of your favorites.Headliners for this year's Rock on the Range include Incubus, Rob Zombie, Marilyn Manson, Slash and Shinedown. Yep, that's definitely solid. In addition, bands like Theory of a Deadman, Five Finger Death Punch, Megadeth and The Darkness will also take the stage. And FYI: If you're a fan of James Durbin (of American Idol fame), he'll also be performing. The guy has a killer rock voice, IMO, and I haven't seen him live yet - worth checking out, I bet.
Tickets for Rock on the Range 2012 go on sale on February 10, 2012, so if you're planning on going, mark the calendar: It's entirely possible that tickets will sell out this year. Full info on tickets (including VIP passes), travel packages and more is available on the official Rock on the Range website.
Maybe this is just me, but I actually really enjoy big music festivals. With concert ticket prices SO insanely high now, it's worth it for me to pay a bit more for one festival, where I'll get to check out several bands I love (and find some new favorites). Sure, the crowds can be a bit...dicey...at times, but the good thing about most festivals: If the person beside you is annoying you to death, you can always move.
Are you going to the 2012 Rock on the Range festival? Who's your favorite in this year's lineup?
